Skull & Bones Necklace

The history of Pirates in the Turks & Caicos Islands was not lost to me as a child.  My own crew consisted of the three boys from the neighboring boat at Leeward Marina, my younger sister, and myself. We took the boy's small sailboat, The little Deseré,  out most days to dive for treasure around the coral reefs off the coast where ships’ hulls were known to have been pierced by their stoney tentacles.
